Marketing Account Strategist

As a Marketing Account Strategist, you will enhance our client relationships through proactive management and strategic insights. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in strategic planning and market research to better serve our client and team needs. This position requires a blend of skills in client management, strategic thinking, task management, and market analysis to ensure that we deliver tailored solutions that exceed client expectations and are clearly communicated with team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Create strategic project plans, timelines, and budgets, and manage resources to ensure that projects are able to be executed on time and within budget.
- Review performance against key metrics, and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk assessments.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths, and escalate issues as required.
- Work collaboratively with the creative team, digital marketers, and account managers to ensure all project deliverables meet client expectations.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business goals and proposing solutions that align with their needs.
- Lead strategic account planning, assessing client requirements, and recommending innovative solutions that enhance their web presence and marketing strategies.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the industries of our clients, using insights to drive decisions and recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects align with client goals, are delivered on time, and exceed quality standards.
- Proactively manage accounts with regular updates, strategic reviews, and performance analytics to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Address client issues promptly, ensuring effective resolution and maintaining a positive business relationship.
- Generate new business opportunities through upselling and cross-selling initiatives based on strategic insights and client needs.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on client progress, market trends, and strategic planning outcomes to both clients and internal teams.
- Schedule and facilitate project meetings with clients alongside relevant Subject Matter Experts and Managers.
- Participate in training, industry conferences and workshops to stay ahead of market trends and maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns, preferably in an agency environment.
- Willingness to identify, think through, and solve challenges.
- Strong understanding of market research techniques and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and provide actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail.
- Empathy and a client-focused approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in Writing, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Preferred Skills
- Proven track record as an account manager or client success manager in a marketing, web design, or digital environment.
- Content strategy, copywriting, and editing skills.
- Social media strategy and best practices.
- Hubspot, SEO, email marketing, Google Ads, Google Analytics, and WordPress knowledge.

This is a remote or hybrid position, ideally within a 1 day driving distance or a direct flight to our headquarters in Bozeman, Montana.
Salary is $60-$85K per year DOE.
